hibernation

SOMETIMES BOWIE FEELS LIKE HIBERNATING IN A BAG...

it's April and our last post was months ago...yes i was in a state of mental hibernation. this winter, our first one in CT was horrible. I thought that having lived in UT for so long would have prepared me for pretty tough winter conditions, which it did for the most part but nothing can prepare you for 3-4 months of mean nor'easter storms. Man it was brutal....every week for about 4 weeks we had school cancelations and stuff and i had to drive brandon to work a few times (he works like a mile away from home)
anyway, needless to say people can hardly wait for spring, which has been a real tease lately. we have had random days of warm that make you feel as if finally spring is here and everyone is wearing shorts and even summer dresses (lots of pasty whiteness everywhere hahaha) and then the next day it snows 6-12 inches... it is ridiculous...

the great thing about this nasty weather is that makes you appreciate the "terrible heat" of the summer so much more and it buys me some more time at the gym before getting into the summer clothes:)
it's funny how i could go on and on about the weather, no one is ever happy with it. it's an obsession really...

last night the UConn men's basketball team won the national championship once again, it was awesome. i have never been into sports, i actually hate them and hate competition in general but i found out it's pretty cool when your school is all over the tv and the the winner of so many things:) it is a week of celebration here at Storrs and it is a lot of fun.
I have less than a month left of school, followed by a month off and then a month of intensive inorganic chem...and then another 2 months off and then back for more school.

since i am done venting about the weather, i'd like to share some of the things we did over the winter (not in order)
went to UT visited parents and friends
snow shoeing/snowboarding
lots of hanging out
enjoy our doggies.
